This week was the last of ‘major’ trade shows of the season. I tend to go a little picture trigger happy in the city as it there is always something new and interesting going on, here’s the recap :
It’s always nice to run into peeps sporting old school M&N ! This was at COTERIE at Pier 94, pieces from 2007-08
The view from The Eventi Hotel on 6th in midtown. The Kimpton group of hotels are just great, friendly service, complimentary coffee and wine and the most comfortable beds anywhere.
Sri Om Singh was in the city with his sweetheart to celebrate his birthday, that turban color is badass !
Hung out with a young homeless couple who’s medical bills forced them onto the streets. We pass by the homeless everyday, please take a couple of minutes to hear their story, you’ll be surprised at the thin line between our two worlds. A bit of cash or a couple of cups of coffee can go a long way…
I will be out of the office for the next two weeks, looking forward to rapping again springtime, have a great one !
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment “– Ralph Waldo Emerson
I just got back from PROJECT, a trade show that we participate in twice a year and was pleasantly surprised to see that amongst all the craziness going on in sin city, there is a mandate to be more sustainable…
I try to stay at the the Wynn whenever I can, not because their gardens and lobby are absolutely stunning or because they have the largest Ferrari and Rolex showcase in North America but because every one of their exquisite restaurants offers a separate vegetarian menu. At Tableau I had what seemed like a gourmet vegan egg mcmuffin for breakfast yesterday, I have to say that I was very impressed. Was also the best damn freshly squeezed O.J. I’ve had in a long time, no, not all fresh O.J.’s are the same, some places are whimsical enough to blend in clementines, tangerines…
The Mandalay Bay encourages you not to worry about recycling your trash at their property because they physically go through everything to separate recyclables. This all gets topped off by plans to light up the strip with solar power over coming years.
For a city that has always had a reputation for being over the top, seems like some of the hotels can be examples for other properties around the world. I’m happy to report that I no longer have to feel so sinful when heading out there twice a year
Inder currently flew to Atlanta, where we will be showing our Fall 13 line for the first time. We are all excited to hear / see reactions from customers. We have a good feeling about this one ( considering everyone at the office want’s to buy it all already… unfortunately we’ll have to wait!) We are happy to introduce our SS13 line to the public in a few weeks. There’s something about the launch of our Spring line that makes me feel our Canadian winter is coming to an end.. is it?! Please! I guess I can only hope & think it’s coming to an end when in reality it’s not… we still have a few months to go considering our office currently looks out to a 15 ft mountain of snow. Oi! Spring where are you? In any case, here are details for our Atlanta show!
Retailers! Come see our collection at the Atlanta international Gift & Home Furnishing Market starting tomorrow. For more info:

It’s fall 12 right? We’re already feeling spring summer 13 here at MATT & NAT. We are getting excited to see how our new line does that we will be launching in late January. We are thinking we should launch it early as our Fall 12 is selling out quick! We are excited to show our Spring Summer 13 collection at Stylemax in Chicago and at Dallas F.I.G. Hope to see you there!
